Day Treatment Program
Lighthouse offers an adult day treatment program to assist special needs adults in improving functioning in several areas. These areas include: sexuality, mental health, emotions, self-regulation, attitudes/thoughts, and social skills.
Serving Special Needs Adults
Our program is consistent with empirically based best practice. Our therapeutic interventions draw from a combination of “The Good Lives”, “Old Me/New Me”, and “Risk, Needs, and Responsivity” models. Our program is specifically adapted to meet the needs of adults struggling with, Mental Illness, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, Severe and Persistent Mental Illness, Personality Disorders, and Traumatic Brain Injuries.
Many of our clients have struggled in previous treatment settings and have found success in our individualized treatment.
Common Referrals
Clients in the day treatment program are typically referred to Lighthouse due to maladaptive sexual behaviors including but not limited to: poor interpersonal and sexual boundaries, charged and uncharged sexual offenses, and sexually deviant urges and fantasies. Lighthouse receives referrals from Probation officers, Judges, Attorneys, Social Workers, Legal Guardians, Family Members, third party funding sources, and any other collateral team members.
Therapy Sessions
Monday - Friday
Morning Groups: 8:30am - 11:15am
Afternoon Groups: 12:30pm - 3:15pm
Each day is divided into three "hours” with each therapy session lasting 45 minutes, followed by a 15 minute socialization break.

You will be asked to provide Lighthouse with any background information, including legal documents and psychological evaluations that have been completed .

If staff feels the potential client could be appropriate for the program, a face-to-face intake session will be completed
